Artist's Statement
“I have always been interested in time, starting with ancient monoliths like
Stonehenge, and this has led me to consider journeys in all forms.
My current work is based on the journey of DNA, and also on my own personal
journey through life.I have tried to explore the fragility of life, which has influenced my
choice of materials and techniques. My pieces are mainly made from grogged clay,
finished with a raku glaze.”
