Colin's recent work has been mainly in ceramics, but he occasionally produces pieces
in other media. These might be inspired by national or personal
events, or merely by his insatiable curiosity to work with new

| Small ceramic work called 'Blue Helix' inspired by studies of the double twist of DNA | 'Double Helix' in metal and ceramic stands 6' high with plinth. | ||

Another large piece, called simple 'Single Helix', is made from raku fired clay. It charts the artists life from birth to age 40, and shows pictures of the his personal life during this time. |

| 'Triangulation of Disciplines' is a wall-mounted series of ceramic plaques. Each piece is individually impressed and raku fired, but is linked by a smoked grey line to its neighbour. | This beautiful piece in mixed media is an eloquent comment on the war in Afghanistan. Called 'In Advance of the Fallen' it was made in the weeks before the conflict, as tensions rose and war became increasingly imminent. | ||
