Locus Arts has been set up with the following objectives:

a)                 To promote the visual arts within the Canterbury area, with special reference to new artists.

b)                To participate in regional arts events.

c)                 To advance the education and training of the local community and to promote educational and recreational arts facilities, through workshops and events.

d)    To provide promotional materials for artists at cost price to encourage new talent.
