Pyrex in the UK

These pages have been created because there seems to be no other place that shows UK

Pyrex patterns. Pyrex was invented in America, and produced in the UK

under licence between 1921 and 1973 only. The company started

producing clear glassware, and only introduced Opalware in 1954. Having only been

available for 52 years, it is now becoming increasingly rare and collectable.

Look out for the Butterfly Book of Collectable British Pyrex available in 2007.
